Hello, I’m Eric, owner and operator of Executive Fine Finish. I provide professional cabinet and architectural woodwork finishing and refinishing services in Portland, Oregon, Vancouver, Washington, and nearby areas. Specialized finishing is detailed work, and I’ve found the best way to maintain that level of care is to stay personally involved from the first conversation through the final finish.

I grew up as a missionary kid in West Africa, where I learned early to take care of what we had. People often had very little, but what they had mattered. Things were repaired, cared for, decorated, and given personality. That stayed with me. Later, while earning a business degree and an MBA focused on sustainability and renewable energy, I began to see how those same values could apply to my work—preserving something good rather than replacing it simply because it was worn or outdated. Today I live here in the Pacific Northwest with my wife, who is a hairstylist and small business owner, and our young son. Outside of work, I’m happiest with my family, surfing, camping, and being outdoors.

​Before starting Executive Fine Finish, I worked as a painter’s helper and prep specialist, then independently. I’ve spent about 15 years in the painting and finishing trades, with roughly the last 10 focused primarily on kitchen cabinet refinishing, restoration, and refacing. I started the business because I genuinely enjoy this work, and seeing what a thoughtful finish can do for a kitchen still keeps me inspired.

I’m here to listen to your goals for your kitchen, but what excites me most is helping you preserve what’s good, repair what can be restored, and create high-quality finishes specifically for kitchen cabinetry. I specialize in true cabinet-grade finishes, using advanced water-based coatings and efficient refinishing systems and equipment.
